In just under a month, on 1st September, Electoral Reform Services will issue ballot papers to eligible UKIP members. It will then be time for our members to choose who they want to be our next leader.

The next opportunity to meet candidates locally will be in Bath on Thursday 17th August at Weston Ex-Services Association, Brookfield Park, Weston, Bath BA1 4JQ when Peter Whittle and Anne Marie Waters have agreed to speak. This is a members’ only function. UKIP members must produce a valid membership card at the door. They may bring personal guest/s but they must personally identify their guest/s. We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone we cannot identify as a current UKIP member (or a member’s guest).

As the venue is a private members’ club, there is a small charge of £1 per attendee if you are not a member of the Weston Ex-Services Association. To find the venue, if you travel along the High Street in Weston, turn into Eastfield Avenue and take the first turning on the left. The number 14 bus stops nearby as well.

The official hustings for South West Region are on Wednesday 23rd August 2017 at the First Floor Conference Suite, Best Western Hotel, Tiverton, Devon EX16 4DB (Junction 27 off the M5) – 6.30 pm for a 7:00 pm start. All paid up members are eligible to attend. South West Chairman Tony McIntyre will chair the event.  Please bring your membership card to sign in.

The announcement of the winning candidate to become our new party leader will be at the 2017 UKIP National Conference on September 29-30.
